Gebhardt & Kiefer is pleased to once again sponsor a float in the Clinton Christmas Parade, which will take place this year in a “drive-by” format on Fri., Dec.  4.  The parade will travel 7.5 miles through the town of Clinton, and residents are encouraged to view the festivities from their porches or front yards.

On Dec. 4, William Rudnik gave an educational presentation on divorce and alternative dispute resolutions, such as mediation and collaborative divorce, to a group of financial planners.  Mr. Rudnik is available to make similar presentations to groups upon request.

Congratulations to Richard Cushing, who was elected to a two-year term as President of the NJ Institute of Local Government Attorneys at the organization’s virtual annual meeting on Nov. 19.  Mr. Cushing will assume his new role on January 1, 2021.  He is currently serving as 1st Vice President.

Leslie Parikh, Matthew Lyons and Tara St. Angelo will serve as presenters on various municipal law topics at the virtual NJ State League of Municipalities conference on Nov. 17 and 18.

On Nov. 11, William Rudnik and Diana Fredericks will speak at the NJ State Bar Association’s “Hot Tips in Family Law” virtual seminar.

On Nov. 3, Diana Fredericks and Dan Makoski will serve as speakers/moderators at the Hunterdon County Bar Association’s virtual Election Day Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Marathon.  Ms. Fredericks will discuss “Important Updates in Family Law: Recent Decisions Practicing Attorneys Should Know” and Mr. Makoski will moderate the panel discussion on “Guardianship:  What is Needed and When to Apply.”

Congratulations to Richard Cushing, who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Hunterdon County Bar Association at the organization’s annual meeting on Sept. 22.  The award recognizes an attorney whose integrity, varied and numerous contributions, and professional achievements over the course of his or her extended legal career merit singular recognition.

Congratulations to Diana Fredericks, who has been appointed by the Supreme Court of NJ as Chairperson of the District XIII Fee Arbitration Committee for the vicinage of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties.

On Sept. 14, William Rudnik served as moderator and speaker for the Hunterdon County Bar Association Family Practice Committee’s virtual seminar entitled “The Impact of COVID on Family Law.”

During February, Leslie Parikh will conduct multiple training sessions on the NJ Domestic Violence Policy for Public Employers for a major insurance carrier. Ms. Parikh is available to present similar seminars for other organizations upon request.

On Jan. 23, William Rudnik and Diana Fredericks will present a seminar entitled “Financial Implications of Divorce in NJ” beginning at 8:30 AM at the Somerset County Business Partnership (SCPB) in Bridgewater.  The event, sponsored by the SCBP’s Finance & Insurance Special Interest Group, is free for SCBP members and $30 for non-members.  Registration is required.
