Ben concentrates his practice on employment law, civil rights litigation, general litigation, criminal defense, and municipal defense.
In his employment and civil rights practice, Ben represents individuals, employers, and public entities in matters involving workplace claims, discrimination, retaliation, and related civil rights issues in both state and federal court.
Ben also represents individuals in criminal matters in both state and municipal court, with a focus on indictable offenses, disorderly persons offenses, traffic offenses, DUI/DWI, and other criminal and municipal offenses.
His work spans all phases of litigation, including analyzing claims, building factual records, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, negotiating resolutions, and advocating for clients in court.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
After receiving his law degree, Ben served as a law clerk to the Honorable Julie M. Marino, P.J.S.C. (Ret.), in Somerset County’s Criminal Division.
Prior to joining Gebhardt & Kiefer, Ben gained valuable experience in civil rights work with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, Division on Civil Rights. In that role, he led civil rights investigations and assisted in the resolution of discrimination matters, developing a strong foundation in civil rights law and enforcement.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Ben earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Widener University in 2019. He received his Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School in 2022, graduating cum laude.

Ben is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
