PRIMARY AREAS OF PRACTICE

Ms. Staples’ primary area of practice is municipal law.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

Ms. Staples has performed services on behalf of municipalities including the Borough of Washington, the Town of Clinton, the Township of East Amwell, the Township of Tewksbury, the Borough of Madison, and the Town of Morristown. Ms. Staples also assists in the handling of matters for individual and business clients.

EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Ms. Staples graduated summa cum laude from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1976 with a B.A. in History. She received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1979.

After graduating from law school, Ms. Staples worked for Consolidated Rail Corporation in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the law department’s labor and environmental law section. In 1982 she joined the law firm of Vogel, Chait, Schwartz & Collins in Morristown, New Jersey where she assisted in the representation of clients in varied fields of law including labor and employment, environmental law, municipal law, land use law, education law, media law, and general corporate and real estate matters. In 2000, she accepted employment at the Astragal Press in Mendham, New Jersey. Ms. Staples became an associate at Gebhardt & Kiefer in 2007.

Ms. Staples is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
