LESLIE A. PARIKH

PRIMARY AREAS OF PRACTICE

Ms. Parikh specializes in the area of employment law, civil rights litigation, general liability insurance defense and the representation of public entities.  She has participated in litigation which includes the defense of Title 59 public entity/employee liability, as well as civil rights and employment cases  involving alleged violations of 42 U.S.C. §1983, the ADA, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, and the Conscientious Employee Protection Act.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

Ms. Parikh has represented and performed services on behalf of Scottsdale Insurance Company, Summit Risk Insurance Company, Allstate Insurance Company, and Selective Insurance Company.  Ms. Parikh also assists in the handling of matters for individual and business clients, school boards, and on behalf of certain municipalities.

EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Ms. Parikh graduated from Rutgers University in 1996 with a B.A. in English. She graduated cum laude from Seton Hall University Law School in 1999 where she received her Juris Doctorate. She has been admitted to the New Jersey State and New York State bars.

While in her third year of law school, Ms. Parikh was employed in Roseland, New Jersey. From 1999-2000, Ms. Parikh served as a law clerk for the Honorable Stephen F. Smith, Jr., J.S.C., in Morris County, New Jersey. She has been an Associate of Gebhardt & Kiefer since 2001.

Ms. Parikh is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Hunterdon County Bar Association.
